The first contest that brings Illulian in touch with 40 aspiring designers at Istituto Marangoni in Miami
An extraordinary heritage, which new generations of design talent have the opportunity to explore and to propagate, thanks to a contest organized by Istituto Marangoni in Miami. The president of the school, Hakan Baykam, has invited Bendis Ronchetti to present the contest “LET THE RUG BEGIN”: a competition open to students of fashion design and architecture, involved in the creative development of a carpet.
The guidelines are simple: to concentrate on aesthetic excellence, avoiding conventional design approaches. The students today 17 July 2023 will unleash their creativity, submitting the design of a modern rug without constraints of color and form. The only fixed parameter is a maximum size cap of 250x200cm (8.2×6.56 ft).
The winner of the contest, selected by Illulian – Bendis and Davis Ronchetti the Owners – Laura Sordo founder of Grit PR and the Istituto Marangoni Miami Team, that will evaluate the works for factors of originality, production feasibility and aesthetic value, will be awarded a study grant.
The winning project will be produced and exhibited at the institute during Miami Design Week in December 2023.
