AMDL CIRCLE BY MICHELE DE LUCCHI
“The sun, water, and wind play a role that is often underestimated in shaping the landscape. Matter is beautiful because it is worn down and transformed, shaped by natural elements regardless of human will.”— Michele De Lucchi
Illulian presents Forme Erose, the new rug collection designed by AMDL Circle, the studio founded by Michele De Lucchi, where the power of nature takes shape, design, and textile narration. Geo I and Geo II are two unique creations that elegantly and profoundly tell the story of matter’s slow yet relentless transformation. The project stems from the ongoing dialogue between art and design that defines the work of the studio. The rugs draw inspiration from the drawings and sculptures of the Sassi e Montagne series, reinterpreted in a two-dimensional form without losing their sculptural and graphic essence. Their raw, organic shapes—ideally moulded by natural elements—come to life in rugs that become vibrant, textured surfaces, where marks turn into gestures and geological memory. Forme Erose is a tribute to time, to its subtle yet incisive force, capable of shaping landscapes with patience and power.
Through this collection, AMDL Circle brings a poetic reflection on the relationship between nature and design, art and function, into Illulian’s textile universe. The brand’s exceptional craftsmanship faithfully captures the complexity of these markings and textures, transforming each rug into a true work of art for the most refined residential and public spaces. With Forme Erose, the home becomes a landscape—eroded, transformed, yet profoundly captivating.
